STEP 1

 

First you will need to look at your original “Notice of Electronic Claims Filing” or run a “Claims Register” for the case to determine the claim number of your original Proof of Claim.  See the separate instructions regarding “Claims Registers”.

 

 

 

STEP 2

 

Follow the exact same steps as shown in the instructions for “Proofs of Claim”.  Except, after selecting your client, when you are on the “Proof of Claim” information screen, you must enter the original claim number in the “Amends Claim # ” box as shown in the example below.

 

 

 

 

STEP 3

 

It would also be a good idea to add an explanation for the amendment in the “Description” or “Remarks” field as shown in the example below.

 

 

NOTE:  Only 60 characters of description/remarks will show up on the “Claims Register” report, so please limit your comments to that length.
