HOMEWORK INSTRUCTIONS

1. Double click on your Internet browser (Netscape Version 4.6 or 4.7 or Internet Explorer Version 5.5).

2. Type in the training database address: https://ecf-train.kyeb.uscourts.gov/cgi-bin/login.pl

3. Login using the login and password shown above

4. If you are a debtors’ attorney, open 1 or 2 bankruptcy cases and file a couple of pleadings in one of them (file whatever you file most often with the court).

OR

4. If you are a creditors’ attorney, using the case number that you used during training (shown above), electronically file 4 or 5 pleadings (file whatever you file most often with the court).

NOTE: No matter whom you represent, please file at least one motion with an attached proposed order.

NOTE: For training purposes, the pleadings you file in your training case can be pleadings that you have created in the past using your word processor. You WILL need to convert them to .pdf format before filing them, but it is not necessary to change the debtor names to match your training case.

5. Go to our website www.kyeb.uscourts.gov and where it says, “Finished your CM/ECF homework?”, click on “Let us know!” and fill out the form and click “Submit” to let us know that you are finished with your homework.
