ELECTRONIC BANKRUPTCY NOTICING (EBN)
We, in conjunction with the Administrative Office of the U.S. Courts, are now offering a new way for your firm/organization/company to receive bankruptcy notices through a service called Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing (EBN). You may choose to receive bankruptcy notices by e-mail or fax. Notices delivered by either of these modes are several days faster than U.S. mail. Notices by e-mail will be routed to one electronic mailbox for your firm/organization/company, eliminating the need to route paper notices to various people in your office. Notices by fax will be sent from the Bankruptcy Noticing Center directly to your fax number.
Additional information concerning our Court’s implementation of EBN Phase II
will be available at the Court’s web site at http://www.kyeb.uscourts.gov/kyeb/electronic_noticing.htm. Detailed information, including a list of questions and answers concerning Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing is available at the Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing Program’s web site at
http://www.ebnuscourts.com, including a downloadable copy of the Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing Implementation Guide and the Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing Agreement. Should you elect to participate in the Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing service, you will need to forward the Phase II signed agreement directly to the Bankruptcy Noticing Center after completion. You may contact the Bankruptcy Noticing Center’s help line at 1-877-837-3424 for free electronic bankruptcy noticing technical support and a list of courts participating in the electronic noticing program. Lastly, you may contact the Electronic Bankruptcy Noticing Coordinator for the Court, Sara Castillo, by phone at (859) 233-2608 ext. 130.
Your participation in the free electronic bankruptcy noticing program is encouraged, since we believe it will offer many benefits to you and the Courts. However, if you choose not to participate, you will continue to receive printed bankruptcy notices in the mail, as you do now. Please do not hesitate to contact the Bankruptcy Noticing Center or this office should you have any questions.
