Bankruptcy Court Celebrates National Financial Literacy Month

Monday, April 1, 2019

The US Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky is pleased to celebrate April as “National Financial Literacy Month.”  To promote financial education for our youngest citizens, judges and many staff in the bankruptcy court are volunteer educators in the Credit Abuse Resistance Education, or CARE program.  Sponsored by the Kentucky Bar Foundation, the CARE program seeks to deliver lessons on responsible credit use to students throughout the Commonwealth of Kentucky.  Members of the bar and public who wish to learn more about this important program may visit careinky.org.  The CARE program welcomes volunteers not only in April, but throughout the year.
