CARE (Credit Abuse Resistance Education) Program volunteers needed

Thursday, January 28, 2016

The CARE Program is ramping up again for spring presentations to local area high school seniors.  The CARE Program (Credit Abuse Resistance Education) is a volunteer service project delivered to high school seniors by attorneys and judges and is funded by the Kentucky Bar Foundation with the support of local law firms.  The goal of the CARE program is to give high school seniors knowledge about managing money and extended credit; an appreciation for the benefits of responsible use of credit and an awareness of the consequences of abusing credit.

Each of the 5 public high schools have requested presentations this year and we anticipate reaching more than 1800 students regarding credit abuse.  We need presenters desperately.  The presentations are currently set for April 11 – 15 AND April 18 – 20.  With the CARE presentations spanning a two week period, there are ample opportunities to donate an hour of your time and volunteer.  This year’s presentations were spread out over a two week period to give our wonderful volunteers more opportunities to present.  If you would like to be a presenter, please contact Clair Edwards at DelCotto Law Group at 859-231-5800.
