Court Updates in Response to COVID-19 Pandemic

Friday, May 22, 2020

In an effort to inform members of the bar and the public about its evolving response to the COVID-19 pandemic, the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky offers the following updates.  Regularly scheduled docket hearings will continue to be conducted telephonically through July.  Evidentiary and other targeted hearings may, at the discretion of the presiding judge, be held telephonically, via video conference, or in person.  Those who must access the court in person are advised that they will be subject to a temperature screening by the Court Security Officers and will be required to wear a mask while on court premises.  In addition, physical distancing must be observed whenever possible.  Non-registered filers are encouraged to continue to use the court’s virtual filing procedures.
