The judges of the US Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky have been leaders in the Education Committee (the Committee) of the National Conference of Bankruptcy Judges (NCBJ).  Chief Judge Gregory Schaaf serves as the Chairman of the Committee and Judge Douglas Lutz is among its members.  The Committee plays the primary role in presenting the educational programming for the NCBJ Annual Meeting, which will be held September 17-20, 2025 in Chicago, IL.
