The United States Bankruptcy Court for the Eastern District of Kentucky announces the appointment of the Honorable Douglas L. Lutz as Chief United States Bankruptcy Judge for the district effective October 10, 2025.  Chief Judge Lutz succeeds Judge Gregory R. Schaaf, who had served in that role since October 1, 2019. Chief Judge Lutz has served as a United States Bankruptcy Judge in the district since April 19, 2024.
